About the role
First Assistant Certified supporting surgical teams in delivering patient-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons during all surgical phases, including pre-, intra-, and post-operative care.
- Position patients and maintain sterile fields to ensure safety and infection control.
- Perform first-assist duties such as wound closure and controlling bleeding (hemostasis).
- Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia staff to facilitate safe and efficient procedures.
Requirements
- Certified as a First Assistant with relevant surgical support experience.
- Strong understanding of sterile techniques, patient positioning, and intraoperative procedures.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and attention to detail.
