Firmware HW Integration Validation Lead

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the integration and validation of firmware for IPs and custom modules into SOCs in both pre- and post-silicon environments (emulation, simulation, System C modeling).
  • Develop and execute validation test plans for SOC features and subsystems such as power, telemetry, interrupts, memory management, and RAS, including the creation of test benches, automation, and supporting infrastructure.
  • Collaborate across disciplines and organizations, and mentor junior team members in integration validation and test content development.
  • Design, implement, and review robust embedded software and firmware solutions, including algorithms, ensuring high-quality product functionality and adherence to best practices through code reviews.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to integrate firmware with hardware and system-level components, modeling and benchmarking architectures and algorithms for optimal performance.
  • Debug and validate designs to ensure system-level reliability and efficiency.
  • Stay current on industry trends to drive innovative solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 6+ years or master’s degree with 4 +years or PhD. with 2+ years in Computer Engineering or Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or a related STEM discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience with the following technical skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, System C or Python.Demonstrated expertise in firmware debugging and development for embedded systems.Knowledge of computer architecture, storage interface standards, and system integration.Familiarity with design modeling and benchmarking tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Validation experience in one or more of the following: Functional: Core, Memory Power Management, Manageability, telemetry, IO subsystems, BIOS/microcode development, debug, fuses Power and Performance.
  • Experience in working with cross functional Platform, SoC, and/or IP teams including Architecture, Design, Firmware, and Validation in the development, validation or program management of high-volume production silicon or board-level products.
  • Knowledge and experience with working from early concept of SOC/IP Architecture and design to shipping final product.
  • Self-directed with a desire to drive issues to conclusion, taking ownership regardless of organizational structure and team boundaries.
  • Experience in mentoring junior engineers.
  • Knowledge of processors, servers, system software architecture, and associated modelling/simulation techniques.
  • Experience in hardware and software debug tools such as JTAG, gdb, etc.

Pay

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $149,600.00 - 284,580.00 USD
