Firmware Engineer II

Job Duties

• Write and review functional specifications based on business requirements.
• Write code, document code, test and validate, and support products in the field.
• Responsible for the design and quality of a single module or component that comprises a larger system.
• Perform engineering analysis and design of vehicle systems ranging from basic to complex, using traditional techniques such as calculations, testing, evaluation, and computer-aided engineering tools.
• Extract, transform, and analyze large datasets to generate actionable insights that support engineering objectives.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Plus two years of engineering experience in:
• C or C++ for embedded systems development for real-time, safety-critical applications;
• Test-Driven Development (TDD) and unit testing frameworks for embedded environments;
• CANopen protocol and related communication standards used in industrial automation and vehicle control;
• Automation or scripting languages like Perl or Python for testing, tooling, and process automation;
• Development applications with ARM architectures for embedded platforms;
• TI Tiva C series or NXP microcontrollers in embedded system applications.

Pay

Annual salary: $83,340 to $130,350.

Schedule

Local telecommuting permitted 1 day a week.
