Responsibilities
- Design and implement embedded firmware for power supply control, monitoring, and communication.
- Execute firmware and software release process, including the use of revision control systems.
- Develop control algorithms (e.g., voltage regulation, current limiting, PFC, etc.) for AC-DC and DC-DC power conversion.
- Interface with digital communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, PMBus, SMBus, GPIB, Ethernet, LXI, Modbus).
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to define microcontroller/processor specifications and integrate firmware with schematics and layouts.
- Perform firmware debugging, validation, and optimization using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other lab equipment.
- Develop and execute unit and system-level tests to ensure firmware quality and regulatory compliance (UL, IEC, etc.).
- Maintain detailed documentation of firmware design, code, and system integration procedures.
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to product definition and architecture decisions.
