About the role
This opportunity resides with Global Security (GS). Mission Technologies’ Global Security (GS) group comprises live, virtual, constructive (LVC) solutions; fleet sustainment; nuclear and environmental; and Australia business.
Responsibilities
- Assist trades team by working on active class surface ships to assist with alterations and installations for fleet modernization.
- Perform a variety of maintenance and technical support on shipboard systems, integrated systems, and related equipment/software onboard Aircraft Carriers.
- Assist in troubleshooting and diagnosing malfunctions.
- Perform duties outside of specialty to complete installation or work assignment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid drivers license.
- Ability to follow safety procedures.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD confidential security clearance.
- Ability to obtain base access credentials within 60 days of start date.
- Ability to provide hand tools per trade designation.
- U.S. citizen.
Qualifications
- Candidates who has graduated from and/or completed a vocational school, apprenticeship program or a skilled trades certificate program are preferred.
- Candidate with a current or active DoD clearance preferred.
- Candidate with a current OSHA 10 Maritime Certification preferred.
- Candidate with a NAVSEA Cableway Improvement certification preferred.
- Candidate with previous Multi-Pin Connector experience preferred.
- Previous Knowledge of Navy Tag Out program, NSTM 300, and 3M manual preferred.
Skills
- Skilled in performing various maintenance and technical support tasks on shipboard systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions.
- Knowledge of Navy Tag Out program, NSTM 300, and 3M manual.
- Experience with Multi-Pin Connectors.

Pay
Anticipated Salary Range: $36,920.00 - $42,000.00
