About the role

This opportunity resides with Global Security (GS). Mission Technologies’ Global Security (GS) group comprises live, virtual, constructive (LVC) solutions; fleet sustainment; nuclear and environmental; and Australia business.

Responsibilities

• Assist trades team by working on active class surface ships to assist with alterations and installations for fleet modernization.
• Perform a variety of maintenance and technical support on shipboard systems, integrated systems, and related equipment/software onboard Aircraft Carriers.
• Assist in troubleshooting and diagnosing malfunctions.
• Perform duties outside of specialty to complete installation or work assignment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid drivers license.
• Ability to follow safety procedures.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD confidential security clearance.
• Ability to obtain base access credentials within 60 days of start date.
• Ability to provide hand tools per trade designation.
• U.S. citizen.

Qualifications

• Candidates who has graduated from and/or completed a vocational school, apprenticeship program or a skilled trades certificate program are preferred.
• Candidate with a current or active DoD clearance preferred.
• Candidate with a current OSHA 10 Maritime Certification preferred.
• Candidate with a NAVSEA Cableway Improvement certification preferred.
• Candidate with previous Multi-Pin Connector experience preferred.
• Previous Knowledge of Navy Tag Out program, NSTM 300, and 3M manual preferred.

Skills

• Skilled in performing various maintenance and technical support tasks on shipboard systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions.
• Knowledge of Navy Tag Out program, NSTM 300, and 3M manual.
• Experience with Multi-Pin Connectors.

Pay

Anticipated Salary Range: $36,920.00 - $42,000.00
