Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets for Firestop projects.
- Utilize the Chaparral internal estimating system to accurately estimate project costs, including labor, materials, and time requirements.
- Allocate resources effectively, managing staffing, materials, and equipment needs.
- Cook up with cross-functional teams to meet project objectives and deadlines.
- Supervise, mentor, and support project managers, site supervisors, and installation crews.
- Conduct regular team meetings and performance evaluations to maintain high standards of productivity.
- Track and report field productivity to corporate leadership.
- Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
- Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to coordinate project requirements.
- Ensure all Firestop work is completed according to industry standards, Building Code requirements, project specifications, and regulations.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, OSHA, and company safety policies.
- Manage project budgets, reviewing costs, tracking expenses, and ensuring profitability.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality or safety.
- Prepare and present monthly bills and financial reports.
- Anticipate potential project risks and develop proactive mitigation strategies.
- Resolve project issues promptly to minimize delays and cost overruns.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred but not required.
- 7+ years of project management experience, ideally in Firestop or construction.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Bluebeam, Procore, Microsoft Office).
- Strong understanding of Firestop materials, installation techniques, and safety standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel to job sites and manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Knowledge of estimating software and tools for construction.
