Firestone Surgery Center - Registered Nurse (RN) Circulator

About the role

Firestone Surgery Center is seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Nurse (RN) Circulator for a PRN role in a multi-specialty, fast-paced ambulatory surgery center in Columbiana, Ohio.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient and family needs to provide quality care to assigned patients.
• Confirm that proper techniques and procedures are used according to Standards of Practice and organizational policies and procedures; prepare the Operating Room accordingly.
• Ensure efficient and effective patient care and quality improvement.
• Organize time, equipment, supplies, and personnel to provide efficient case management.
• Practice cost containment by using supplies economically and optimizing turnover time.
• Maintain an adequate inventory for assigned area, including equipment and supplies; assist with ordering, receiving, and storage of supplies.
• Demonstrate a professional manner.
• Participate in Quality Committee(s), Safety Training programs, and complete required competencies.
• Maintain current knowledge, certification, and licensure.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Current Ohio license as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum of two years of OR nursing experience.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.

Qualifications (Preferred)

• Previous ambulatory surgery center (ASC) experience.
• Circulating experience in Orthopaedics, General Surgery, Gastroenterology, and Plastics.
• PALS certification.
