Firefighter/Paramedic
General Duties and Responsibilities
Responds to fire alarms, medical emergencies, and other calls to protect life and property;
participates in fire prevention, training, station and equipment maintenance activities;
receives general supervision from higher level supervisory and management staff and exercises functional and technical supervision over assigned staff.

Minimum Entrance Requirements
- Massachusetts Paramedic Certification
- ACLS
- CPR
- PALS
- Driver’s License
- Minimum of GED
Special Requirements
- Firefighting and rescue techniques, methods and practices
- Advanced emergency medical procedures and patient assessment techniques
- Arithmetic computations and formulas
- Correct business English, including spelling, grammar and punctuation
- Techiques for dealing with a variety of individuals from various socioeconomic, ethnic and cultural backgrounds, often in situations which may be stressful

Pay
Starting at $85,560 annually ($75,052.38 base plus a 9% EMT-P Stipend and 13 contractual holidays)
