About the role

We’re hiring a Firefighter EMT with a passion for firefighting and patient care combined with the drive to succeed and deliver high-quality care.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency fire scenes and assist in various fire suppression duties with the appropriate extinguishing agents to the source of the fire.
• Operate various pieces of fire equipment and gear for fire suppression and control; drive and operate fire apparatus.
• Conduct search and rescue, ventilation, and salvage operations.
• Perform fire safety, home safety, fire extinguisher, and pre-fire planning inspections.
• Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel, fellow firefighters, and government agencies.
• Participate in community programs to maintain company image and establish strong community relations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• State Driver’s License
• State issued (IL) BOF certification
• State issued EMT-B certification
• Current AHA CPR/AED certification

Pay

Annual compensation: $55,000 per year (based on full-time local schedule).
