Firearms Sales Outfitter - Part Time

Responsible for maintaining counter sales and customer service for firearms, as well as floor and counter sales of other hunting merchandise. Performs selling and customer service activities, including greeting customers, handling merchandise, and providing information and assistance.

Responsibilities

• Supports a strong commitment to world-class customer service and ensures a pleasant and productive shopping experience.
• Assists customers in making buying decisions by identifying needs and making product recommendations.
• Promotes programs including CLUB membership, VOC, and in-store pickup.
• Ensures 4473 Forms are completed thoroughly and accurately.
• Demonstrates products to customers.
• Organizes and maintains merchandise within the retail store, particularly at the gun counter.
• Replenishes product on shelves according to merchandising guidelines.
• Remains a product expert through ongoing training.
• Stays knowledgeable of advertised sales, maintains pricing, and updates signage.
• Assists with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Keeps work area clean, neat, and well-stocked with supplies.
• Follows all company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 0-2 years of experience in retail.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.

Skills

• Product knowledge of firearms and ammunition.
• Understanding of ATF federal and state regulations.
• Customer service and sales experience with firearms and ammunition.
• Ability to merchandise and stock products.

Physical Requirements

• Constantly stand and/or walk during shift.
• Occasionally ascend or descend ladders, stairs, or ramps.
• Constantly communicate with others to exchange information.
• Occasionally repeat motions involving wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
• Occasionally operate machinery, power tools, motor vehicles, or heavy equipment.
• Light work: constantly move objects up to 20 pounds; occasionally lift objects up to 100 pounds (team lift may be required).
• Occasionally work in tight and confined spaces.
• Occasionally work in noisy environments.
