FIREARMS Sales Outfitter

About the role

The Sales Outfitter - Firearms maintains counter sales and customer service for firearms, as well as floor and counter sales of other hunting merchandise. This role performs selling and customer service activities, including greeting customers, handling merchandise, and providing information and assistance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver world-class customer service to ensure a pleasant and productive shopping experience.
• Assist customers in making buying decisions by identifying needs and providing product recommendations.
• Promote programs such as CLUB membership, VOC, and In-Store Pickup.
• Ensure 4473 Forms are completed thoroughly and accurately.
• Demonstrate products to customers.
• Organize and maintain merchandise at the gun counter and replenish product on shelves per merchandising guidelines.
• Remain a product expert through ongoing training and stay knowledgeable about advertised sales, pricing, and signing.
• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and well-stocked work area.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 0-2 years of retail experience.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.

Skills

• Product knowledge of firearms and ammunition.
• Understanding of ATF Federal and State Regulations.
• Customer service and sales experience with firearms and ammunition.
• Ability to merchandise and stock products.

Physical Requirements

• Constantly stand and/or walk during shift.
• Occasionally ascend or descend ladders, stairs, or ramps.
• Constantly communicate with others to exchange information.
• Occasionally repeat motions involving wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
• Occasionally operate machinery, power tools, or motor vehicles.
• Light work: constantly move objects up to 20 pounds; occasionally lift objects up to 100 pounds (team lift may be required).
• Occasionally work in tight and confined spaces or noisy environments.
