Firearms Sales Associate
Overview
The Firearms Sales Associate is responsible for actively seeking out customers in our store, greeting them in an upbeat and professional manner while providing world-class customer service and assisting with firearms questions and purchases.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all paperwork for firearm sales including but not limited to form 4473, licensing, and background checks are completed accurately and thoroughly
- Consistently demonstrate proper firearm safety and handling
- Evaluate and appraise firearms for resale
- Able to exercise good judgement when interacting with customers when shopping for firearms
- Have a well-rounded knowledge of all facets of the firearm industry including ammunition, reloading, and optics
- Follows all Company policies and procedures
- Must be able to legally own a firearm
- Able to stop a straw purchase

- Willing to help with freight/stocking when needed
- Able to demonstrate product usage within their shop and retrieve product from heights of greater than 6 ft.
Physical Requirements/Lifting Requirements
- Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation
- Heavy work – Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
Compensation
Earn an average of $17.00 - $24.00 per hour. A combination of base hourly pay and sales commission. Ability to earn more is based on performance. Plus, a GREAT associate discount on in-store purchases.
