Responsibilities
- Greet customers with a warm and friendly demeanor.
- Engage customers in meaningful conversations to understand their specific needs.
- Provide expert guidance and unbiased product recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Complete firearm compliance training.
- Aid customers in selecting appropriate ammunition, accessories, and related products.
- Maintain an organized and visually appealing firearms display area.
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Stay updated on current firearm trends and industry news.
- Actively listen to customer concerns and provide appropriate resolutions.
- Establish and maintain healthy, long-term relationships with customers.
- Conduct product demonstrations and explain technical specifications.
- Utilize upselling and cross-selling techniques.
- Promote exclusive offers and store loyalty program.
- Process special orders, operate the POS register, and resolve return issues.
- Contribute to visual merchandising efforts.
- Participate in cross-training for flexibility in various departments.
- Leverage learning initiatives to acquire new knowledge and refine skills.
- Provide friendly, proactive, and professional internal and external support.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Additional education or training in firearms safety is a plus.
- Previous experience in firearms sales or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations regarding firearms sales and transfers.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to actively listen and provide thorough responses.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proven track record of producing error-free work and meeting quality standards.
- Proficiency in using computer systems for transaction processing and record-keeping.
- Physical requirements: able to stand for prolonged periods, lift/push/pull up to 30 pounds repeatedly, and 31-50 pounds occasionally.
Benefits
Pay range: $16.00 - $19.50 per hour, with exact compensation determined by factors such as relevant geographic location, education, certifications, experience, job level, shift, and organizational needs.
