Fire Suppression Technician

About the role

The Fire Suppression Technician is responsible for installing, inspecting, servicing, and repairing fire suppression systems, including kitchen hood, clean agent, and dry chemical systems. The ideal candidate will ensure all work complies with NFPA codes, state and local regulations, and company standards.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, test, and maintain fire suppression systems.
• Diagnose and resolve issues with system performance and compliance.
• Maintain accurate service records and complete required documentation.
• Communicate professionally with clients and team members.
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergency service calls.
• Travel to job sites within the service area.
• Safely operate company vehicles to and from job sites.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• One to three years of experience in fire suppression or a related field is preferred.
• NICET certification or an applicable state license is a plus.
• A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
• The candidate must reside within a reasonable distance from our Brooklyn, OH location.
• The candidate must be willing to submit to a pre-hire background check and drug screen.
• The candidate must be able to lift more than 50 pounds.
• The candidate must be able to safely operate company vehicles.
• The candidate must be able to work from heights.
• The candidate must be able to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize safety.
• The candidate must have strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude.
• The candidate must be able to work regular and reliable hours.
