Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Aid senior technicians with testing, inspection, and basic maintenance of fire suppression systems.
- Perform inspections of fire suppression systems, fire extinguishers, emergency lights, and first aid.
- Use hand tools and testing equipment under supervision.
- Help perform basic functional testing and visual inspections of suppression systems.
- Document inspection results, deficiencies, and job site conditions.
- Follow all company safety procedures, customer site requirements, and applicable codes and standards.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in clean and proper working condition.
- Communicate professionally with customers, team members, and supervisors.
- Travel to job sites as required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- No minimum experience necessary.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn fire suppression systems.
- Ability to follow instructions and work under direct supervision.
- Strong work ethic and dependable attendance.
- Ability to work effectively in team environments.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
Other Duties
- Adhere to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.
- Study for the NFPA Certified Fire Protection Specialist Exam.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in various environments.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
- Work performed in commercial, industrial, and construction environments.
- Exposure to varying conditions including heights, confined spaces, and active job sites.
- Use of hand tools and testing equipment under supervision.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
