Fire Sprinkler Technician

About the role

As a Sprinkler Service Technician at Encore, you will be a key part of making sure our customers' fire sprinkler systems are ready when they are needed most. You will inspect, test, service, and troubleshoot wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge systems, with a focus on reliability, compliance, and clear communication. This is a field-based role with a mix of planned service, repairs, and occasional emergency calls. Responsibilities

• Service, test, inspect, and troubleshoot both basic and complex fire sprinkler systems.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs with accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail.
• Look for issues where systems are not working properly or not meeting current code requirements and recommend what needs to be fixed or upgraded.
• Work with contractors, building maintenance staff, and internal office teams to schedule and complete service calls.
• Document what you find, what you recommend, and what you repair, in line with company expectations and NFPA standards.
• Take part in on-call rotations and respond to emergency service requests when needed.
• Follow all safety procedures and represent Encore in a professional way on every job site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, with technical or industry related experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of fire sprinkler systems, their components, and common tools used to service them.
• Familiarity with NFPA codes and general fire protection standards.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and system drawings.
• Strong communication and documentation skills for use with customers and internal teams.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights of 30 feet or more.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within your assigned territory.
• Experience operating lifts and an understanding of OSHA safety practices.
• Professional, team-oriented mindset and a consistent focus on doing the job safely and correctly.

What Makes You Stand Out

• Three or more years of experience inspecting, servicing, or repairing fire sprinkler systems.
• NICET certification in water-based systems inspection, testing, or layout.
• Experience handling both routine inspections and more complex repair work.
• Known for catching issues early, explaining them clearly to customers, and following through until they are fixed.
