Job Summary
As a fire sprinkler system inspector, you will be responsible for the completion of service requests at various locations throughout your given territory. We have positions for professional, state-licensed Fire Sprinkler Inspectors.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Inspect and test fire sprinkler systems to ensure they function effectively and meet NFPA standards.
- Adjust or repair malfunctioning systems.
- Perform basic sprinkler inspection service.
- Communicate with the local fire department to avoid unnecessary responses to testing.
- Inform the Service Department of customer needs regarding system repairs or maintenance.
- Advises customers on test and inspection results.
- Use excellent communication skills with Area Coordinators for scheduling and updates.
- Handle customer inquiries and manage incoming calls with professionalism.
- Accurately document all service calls.
- Respond quickly to emergencies and support customers in need.
- Use geographical maps, Google Maps, and read/understand maps to schedule effectively.
Job Qualifications & Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- One to two years of post-high school education is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Good interpersonal skills are essential.
- Basic skills using Apple/Android tablets are necessary.
- Must demonstrate excellent communication and listening skills.
- Ability to work M-F from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with flexibility.
- Ability to handle pressure, various tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and use a ladder up to 8-ft.
- NICET certification and/or fire sprinkler background is a plus.
- A valid drivers license is required.
- Travel: 100% of the time, remote work.
