Fire Sprinkler Service Helper

About the role

We are seeking a Fire Sprinkler Service Helper who will assist with service calls, including troubleshooting and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems. The role involves installing and servicing systems efficiently to minimize downtime and maximize performance, ensuring completed installations meet DynaFire’s quality standards while maintaining a professional and safe working environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist Fire Sprinkler Service Technicians with installation and service for a wide range of clients and fire protection system applications.
• Perform tasks listed on service repairs, deficiency, and installation work orders.
• Respond to client service-related issues effectively and promptly.
• Build working relationships with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs).
• Interpret shop and contract drawings to determine scope of work.
• Communicate needs required to complete the scope of work on schedule.
• Understand and apply NFPA 13, 14, 20, 24, and 25 standards.
• Utilize time management skills to ensure efficient task completion.
• Inform management of any job-related issues or concerns.
• Provide DynaFire Sales Representatives with information on sales leads, change order opportunities, and fire sprinkler sales.
• Comply with all DynaFire policies and procedures.
• Acquire and maintain required equipment on the tool list.
• Follow DynaFire’s safety procedures and the client’s safety program.
• Safely operate construction equipment, including step ladders, extension ladders, scissor lifts, hand tools, power tools, cutting tools, and powder actuated tools.
• Participate in training classes to grow professionally and increase industry knowledge.
• Learn and apply DynaFire’s mission statement and Core Values.

Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License.
• Proficient in office hardware and software tools used by DynaFire.
• No prior experience required.
• Basic knowledge of fire pumps, wet systems, and dry systems (required within 24 months of hire).
• FASA certification (required within 24 months of hire).
