Summary Responsible for the installation, assembly, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems in commercial, industrial, and multi-family projects; ensures systems are installed according to NFPA standards, project specifications, and company quality and safety standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Install, assemble, and maintain fire sprinkler piping, fittings, and devices according to plans and specificationsCut, thread, bend, and join pipes using hand and power toolsRead and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specificationsAssist with pressure testing, flushing, and commissioning of sprinkler systemsCoordinate with foremen, other trades, and field personnel to ensure project schedule adherenceMaintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized conditionFollow OSHA regulations and company safety policiesParticipate in safety meetings and ongoing training Education And/or Experience High school diploma and 1–5 years of experience in fire sprinkler installation or pipefitting; knowledge of fire sprinkler installation practices and NFPA standards; ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints; strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on skills; NICET certification or trade-related training preferred. Computer Skills Microsoft Office applications, word, email. Physical Demands Field-based role at active construction and retrofit sites; requires endurance for extended periods of repetitive movements and moderate physical exertion; frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching; ability to climb ladders, stairs, or scaffolding and working at heights as needed; manual dexterity to operate tools and equipment; good visual and auditory acuity to safely handle inventory, read labels, and follow instructions; work in confined spaces and variable weather conditions; ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly; exposure to noise, dust, and construction environments; ability to tolerate working in varying environmental conditions, including temperature fluctuations; overtime may be required.
