FIRE PROTECTION TECH- OLA, AR

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and comply with all fire safety compliance activities.
• Collaborate with insurance providers, Fire Protection Manager, mill management, and contractors.
• Develop and present employee fire-related training.
• Maintain adequate records and prepare reports for management with recommendations for appropriate actions.
• Provide assistance to the mill and insurance companies in solving problems caused by fires.
• Develop and implement procedures and activities to prevent loss of life, property, and/or injury due to fire.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Intermediate knowledge of firefighting techniques and fire safety codes and standards (e.g., NFPA).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Intermediate proficiency of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams.
• Knowledge of industrial safety practices and principles including OSHA regulations and environmental compliance.
• Familiarity with sprinkler system maintenance and willingness to perform maintenance as needed.
• Proficient written, communication, and presentation skills.
• Able to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Able to operate mobile industrial equipment.
• Thorough knowledge of fire safety codes and standards (e.g., NFPA).
• Working knowledge of reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.

Pay

The hourly rate of pay for this position is $40.61.
