About the Role
Become the Expert
- Learn the Products: Master Victaulic’s products and solutions through an excellent training program to help customers complete projects on time and within budget.
- Know the Industry: Gain expertise in grooved mechanical pipe joining methods, competitive techniques (e.g., welding, flanging), construction cycles, and market trends. Stay informed about major projects and competitor activity, and integrate into local trade organizations.
- Understand the Business: Collaborate with your Regional Sales Manager to develop a business plan, including opportunity mapping, sales goals, and strategies. Execute all phases of project pursuit—from inception to after-sale follow-up—while coordinating with internal teams to meet customer requirements.
Build Strong Relationships
- Develop and maintain lasting relationships with mechanical contractors, engineers, and project owners in your territory, including after-hours engagements (e.g., dinners, events).
- Partner with Victaulic distributors to manage a balanced distribution network and collaborate with other Victaulic representatives for seamless customer experiences.
Educate and Influence
- Identify customer needs and educate them on the value of Victaulic products through job site demos, trainings, and presentations (e.g., lunch-and-learns for engineers).
- Influence decision-makers to maximize sales potential by demonstrating product confidence and value.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (lifelong learning encouraged; tuition reimbursement available).
- Previous sales experience in commercial construction, PVF (pipes, valves, fittings), or mechanical products is a plus, but not required.
- Proven track record in sales, relationship-building, and territory growth.
- Self-motivated, competitive, and resilient with strong problem-solving and time-management skills.
- Professional, engaging, and adaptable personality for diverse customer interactions.
- Willingness to travel overnight and work in adverse conditions (e.g., weather, heavy equipment up to 50+ pounds).
