About the role
The Fire Protection Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the design, construction, and maintenance of fire protection systems in various projects.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the development and implementation of fire safety plans and procedures.
- Manage project teams to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Ensure all fire protection systems are installed according to code and manufacturer specifications.
- Perform inspections and tests on fire protection systems to ensure they are functioning properly.
- Prepare reports and documentation related to fire protection projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in fire protection engineering or related field.
- Knowledge of NFPA codes and standards.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with building inspection processes.
- Understanding of HVAC systems and their interaction with fire protection systems.
