Position Summary
As an Onsite Service Technician III in Vallen’s Safety Services Group, you will focus on installing, inspecting, testing, and maintaining life safety systems and equipment for established customers.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide quality service to customers.
- Aid HTS technicians in training.
- Assist with installation and inspection of life safety systems.
- Coordinate job activities with customers.
- Ensure accurate documentation and invoicing.
- Maintain inventory and adhere to regulatory standards.
- Handle parts and equipment requests.
- Support warehouse operations as needed.
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 certification in fire protection related fields.
- NICET II or higher.
- 2-4 years’ experience in installation and/or maintenance of life safety systems.
- Relevant industry experience.
- Advanced communication, initiative, and problem-solving skills.
- Current motor vehicle license with a good driving record.
- Commercial driver’s license required for hazardous material transport.
- Proficiency with hand tools.
- Ability to repair and service equipment.
- Knowledge of Vallen products and services.
- Ability to manage customer accounts or projects.
- Pass drug and alcohol screening, physical exam, and background check.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
The job involves working in various environments, including plants and outdoors. It requires regular talking and hearing, occasional lifting up to 55 lbs, and the ability to climb up to 15 levels high and ascend/descend ladders up to 24' high. Bending, stooping, and walking for extended periods are also necessary.
