About the role

SLS/SOCOTEC is seeking curious, dependable, and proactive learners focused on continuous improvement to join our team. Associates will work with Senior Fire Protection Engineers to design and develop Life Safety and Fire Protection systems.

Responsibilities

  • Explore the many building systems and design components involved in developing a safe and code compliant building design.
  • Work with Senior Fire Protection Engineers to design and develop Life Safety and Fire Protection systems.
  • Develop skills in particular areas of interest.
  • Support team efficiency through strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Provide technical support for projects focusing on adherence to quality standards through plan reviews and technical reports.
  • Contribute to projects that may involve egress design, code research, smoke control system design, fire-resistant construction analysis, performance-based design, fire sprinkler design, and hazardous material analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in the engineering or architecture disciplines required.
  • 0 to 3 years of relevant experience in Fire Protection and Life Safety Engineering preferred.
  • EIT Certification preferred.
  • Experience with Bluebeam, AutoCAD, REVIT, Microsoft Suite encouraged.
  • Experience with CONTAM, Pyrosim, FDS, and/or PathFinder desirable.
