About the role
Responsible for overseeing fire safety measures in commercial buildings, ensuring compliance with local and national regulations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement fire safety plans and procedures
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of fire protection systems
- Train building staff on fire safety protocols
- Respond to fire incidents and coordinate emergency response efforts
- Stay updated on new fire safety technologies and best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering or related field
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in fire protection engineering
- Knowledge of NFPA codes and standards
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Qualifications
- Passing score on the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Experience with fire alarm systems and sprinkler systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM)
- Experience with risk assessment tools
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
