Fire Protection Engineer

This role will lead technical initiatives focused on scalable systems, platform reliability, and meaningful business transformation. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a Technical Services environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing FLS code analyses and standards
• Guide the FAA on the applicability of fire codes to facilities
• Provide FLS guidance on agency initiatives involving the FLS program
• Develop technical guidance for design and construction issues
• Assist in FLS program planning and prioritization
• Draft white papers and proposals on FLS topics
• Conduct fire protection surveys of critical FAA facilities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field and 4+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's Degree with 2+ years experience
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer in Training (EIT) certification
• In-depth knowledge of ICC and NFPA codes
• Experience in providing consultation on Fire Life Safety (FLS) programs
• Ability to create designs for critical FLS components
• Demonstrated ability to train on FLS concepts
• Capability to pass a Public Trust clearance process

Pay

$110,000 – $124,550 annually
