About the role

Lead moderately complex projects with medium to high corporate priority. Provide subject matter expertise in areas including project management, setup of local project offices, project scope definition, risk identification, project methodology, prioritization, and facilitation. Maintain control of schedule, cost, safety, quality, and customer expectations/satisfaction at all times. Present to management and/or customers on project updates, project cycle, and encouraged results. Manage vendor relationships throughout the installation. Ensure projects are closed on time and in scope.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and apply PMI methodology and key knowledge areas (Integration, Scope, Time, Cost, Quality, Human Resources, Communications, Risk, and Procurement Management).
  • Communicate and report project status to project staff, customers, and Johnson Controls management.
  • Develop and lead project work plans, assign responsibilities, and provide technical advice and problem resolution.
  • Track project expenditures and ensure financial accountability; modify schedules and plans as necessary.
  • Maintain project quality by conducting inspections and ensuring workmanship meets Johnson Controls installation standards.
  • Provide customer service by offering adaptable, concise, and professional support and ensuring timely follow-up on customer concerns and issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Associates Degree or equivalent work experience of at least five years.
  • Five years of Project Management experience, preferably in the security industry.
  • Available for daily and some overnight travel, 25%+ (pending on open projects).

Preferred

  • Preferred certifications: CSPM (Certified Security Project Manager), PMI PMP (Project Management Institute, Project Management Professional).

Qualifications

  • Ability to acquire certifications within 6 months of employment in the position.

Skills

  • Understanding of Project Management Institute's methodology and key knowledge areas.
  • Effective communication and coordination skills.
  • Fiscal responsibility and ability to track project expenditures.
  • Quality assurance and inspection skills.
  • Customer service and problem-solving abilities.

Pay

Hiring salary range: $100K-$113K (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
