Fire Prevention and Security Officer

About the role

The Children's Recovery Center is looking for a safety-minded and support-focused Fire Prevention and Security Officer to join their team!

Responsibilities

• Inspect buildings and grounds for elimination of fire hazards
• Enforce laws, rules and regulations
• Provide assistance to employees or visitors
• Direct traffic
• Perform other duties related to the protection of state property, employees, visitors and others

Requirements

• F&S Level I: No requisite education and experience are required for consideration.
• F&S Level II: Completion of a basic security and/or firefighter's course, and 2 years of experience in security or fire prevention and protection work.

Special Requirements

• Physical examination and meet the physical examination requirements of lifting/carrying 60 pounds occasionally, and able to push and pull a maximum force of 30 pounds.
• Willing and able to fulfill any job-related travel normally associated with this position and as such have a valid driver’s license.

• Must be 21 years of age or older, due to DHS requirements.

Pay

F&S Salary Level I: $29,500 ($14.18/hourly)

F&S Salary Level II: $31,500 ($15.14/hourly)

Schedule

• 8, 10, 12 Hour Night Shifts Only
• Must work Saturdays on weekends
