Fire Mitigation Assistant Manager
About the role
This position involves managing disaster restoration jobs, interacting with customers, adjustingers, and technicians, and ensuring compliance with company processes and standards.
Responsibilities
- Retrieves work orders and loads necessary equipment and supplies onto trucks
- Completes assigned jobs according to company procedures and carrier standards
- Maintains quality control and manages assigned technicians
- Daily monitors active jobs, including residential and commercial customers, with a sense of urgency
- Explains job processes and next steps to customers using printed materials
- Communicates with adjusters in person, over the phone, and virtually to resolve issues and answer questions
- Creates estimates, completes drying records, and inspects job sites for customer approval
- Prepares and reviews documentation, including notes, photos, and customer signatures, to facilitate insurance claims
- May train new technicians or other key team members
- Ensures adherence to safety standards during all active jobs
Requirements
- Valid Drivers’ License and satisfactory driving record
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Experience with entering data using tablets or mobile phones
- Knowledge of disaster restoration or construction industry
- Proficiency with mobile software to enter data
- Experience with Xactimate (preferred but not required)
- Experience in training and managing others
- Strong problem-solving skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
