Fire Equipment Technician

About the role

This position involves inspecting, testing, repairing and maintaining specialized emergency services equipment. It also includes the installation and maintenance of specialized fire equipment on fire apparatus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, repair and maintain specialized emergency services equipment.
• Install and maintain specialized fire equipment on fire apparatus.
• Maintain and repair respiratory protection equipment.
• Maintain and repair rescue equipment.

Requirements

• One (1) year of experience inspecting, testing, repairing and maintaining specialized emergency services equipment.
• Possession of a valid California Class C driver's license at the time of appointment.
• Valid California Class B Commercial Driver's license within six months of appointment.
• Care and maintenance of personal protective equipment certificate as required by the manufacturer.
• Maintenance and repair of rescue equipment certificate as required by the manufacturer.

Qualifications

• Submit all applicable diploma(s), transcripts, license(s) and/or certificate(s) with your application by the final filing deadline.
• Failure to obtain required licenses will result in termination of employment.
