About the role
The City of Alliance seeks a Fire Chief to lead the city's fire and EMS department, which provides essential emergency services to a population of 8,000.
Responsibilities
- Oversight of fire suppression and prevention, emergency medical services, rescue operations, hazardous materials response, and emergency management services
- Overseeing a department of 5 career firefighters and 46 volunteer personnel
- Responding to over 1,000 calls annually
- Fostering partnerships and developing personnel
- Serving the community through high-quality emergency response services
Requirements
- Progressively responsible fire service leadership experience
- Strong administrative and financial management skills
- Demonstrated commitment to community service

Qualified candidates should possess progressively responsible fire service leadership experience, strong administrative and financial management skills, and a demonstrated commitment to developing personnel, fostering partnerships, and serving the community.
