Job Description

The Fire Alarm Technician at Eagle Fire - North Charleston, SC, is responsible for testing, repairing, and inspecting fire detection systems. This role requires exceptional service to both internal and external customers.

  • Performs installation, programming, repair, testing, and inspection of fire detection and signaling systems on a scheduled basis
  • Completes all services following manufacturer instructions, related codes/standards, and Company policies and procedures
  • Schedules inspections with customers as required
  • Provides documentation of inspections for Company records, customer records, authorities with jurisdiction, and any other entity required
  • Communicates discrepancies, necessary system repairs, and other important issues to the Company and the customer
  • Follows up to ensure that suggested repairs to systems are performed
  • Marksets EFI services to existing and potential customers
  • Trains Technician Trainees as assigned
  • Commits to work until obligations are met, which may result in overtime
  • Completes continuing education necessary to maintain current certifications and/or licenses as required for position

Qualifications

MUST BE EST 3 OR 4 Certified. Education, experience, and certification as specified in the job description (or equivalent combination) are required. Must have practical knowledge of fire protection codes and standards, excellent customer service skills, valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record, positive and professional demeanor, ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 100 pounds, work from heights above 10 feet, and work in confined areas, able to stand for long periods of time and to lift, crouch, reach, handle, push, and pull.
