Fire Alarm Technician

About the role

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nashville, TN. The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation and service work on commercial fire alarm systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues independently in the field
• Serve as a Senior resource and mentor for future team members
• Support large-scale, multi-site projects across the Nashville area
• Help establish best practices, workflows, and quality standards

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with commercial fire alarm installation and/or service
• Strong knowledge of NFPA 72, local codes, and inspection processes
• Experience with fire alarm devices (smoke detectors, pull stations, horn/strobes, panels, relays, etc.)
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of field work
• Comfortable working in active commercial environments
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Qualifications

• NICET Certification (Level I–III preferred)
• Experience with systems like Notifier, Simplex, Fire-Lite, Honeywell, Bosch, or Edwards
• Previous experience acting as a lead or experienced technician
• Exposure to security systems (access control, CCTV)
• Experience supporting new market launches or team growth

Skills

Nice to have but not required: NICET Certification (Level I–III preferred), Experience with systems like Notifier, Simplex, Fire-Lite, Honeywell, Bosch, or Edwards, Previous experience acting as a lead or experienced technician, Exposure to security systems (access control, CCTV), Experience supporting new market launches or team growth
