Fire Alarm/Suppression Technician

Duties and Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, or repair equipment related to fire alarm systems, networks, and devices.
• Work from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications, locate and diagnose troubles/alarms in the fire alarm system or equipment.
• Perform standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment.
• Use a variety of electrician's hand tools and measuring and testing instruments.
• Perform fire sprinkler repair, inspection, and testing.
• Service and troubleshoot wet and dry fire sprinkler systems.
• Identify code issues and non-conformance issues.
• Install fire sprinkler systems (if applicable).

Experience and Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in fire alarm/suppression field.
• Formal or informal education/training ensuring ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance.
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs.
• Preferred computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
