Fire Alarm & Security Technician NICET 4

Systems Technologies is an industry leader in the design, construction, and maintenance of electrical and low-voltage systems in Wisconsin. We are seeking Fire Alarm Technicians & Security Specialists to join our fast-growing and dynamic team, supporting growth across Wisconsin. Locations include Milwaukee, Wrightstown, and Northern WI. This position involves multiple roles focused on commercial and industrial fire alarm systems.

Responsibilities

• Work with hardware and software related to commercial and industrial fire alarm systems.
• Receive training and certifications related to fire alarm systems as needed.
• Install, program, test, and troubleshoot fire alarm system panels, devices, and wiring.
• Understand that fire alarm systems are part of a building’s life-safety system, potentially saving lives or property.
• Adhere to state, local, and national codes pertaining to fire alarm systems.
• Manage and schedule your own time to meet customer deadlines and needs.
• Travel and manage multiple projects daily.
• Work in a team environment to meet common goals.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years’ experience installing, testing, and troubleshooting fire alarm systems.
• NICET certification in fire alarm systems preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Competent computer and programming skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and accurate record-keeping.
• Positive attitude, high integrity, and ability to build strong customer relationships.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. at a time.
• Physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduit.
• Ability to stand, kneel, bend, work overhead, and climb ladders/scaffolding for prolonged periods.
• Ability to discern color-coded wiring.
