About the role
Eagle Fire is seeking a dedicated Fire Alarm Project Manager to serve as the primary point of accountability between customers, design/engineering, field operations, and company leadership. The role ensures seamless project delivery and strong customer experience from award to turnover.
Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Coordination: Review contract documents, drawings, specifications, and scope of work for assigned commercial and industrial fire alarm projects; develop detailed project schedules, manpower plans, and material procurement timelines; coordinate with design/engineering, purchasing, fabrication, and field teams.
- Permitting & Compliance: Secure required permits, coordinate AHJ inspections, and manage submittal/approval processes; ensure all work complies with NFPA codes, local AHJ requirements, and Eagle Fire quality standards.
- Project Execution & Field Oversight: Manage all phases of commercial and industrial fire alarm system installations, including new installs, retrofits, and upgrades; conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, resolve field issues, and verify installation quality; proactively identify and manage changes in scope, schedule impacts, and project risks; serve as the escalation point for field-level technical or scheduling issues.
- Team Leadership & Subcontractor Management: Direct and coordinate field technicians, installation supervisors, foremen, and subcontractors; partner with Installation Supervisors to align staffing, sequencing, and daily field priorities; promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies; provide technical guidance and support to field personnel; monitor labor utilization, material consumption, and overall project costs against budget; track project profitability and report variances to leadership; review and approve material requisitions, equipment needs, and subcontractor invoices; forecast labor and resource requirements across a portfolio of concurrent projects.
Qualifications
- 7–10 years of fire alarm experience (background in fire alarm and suppression; sprinkler/fixed extinguishing systems experience not required).
- A personal Fire Alarm license (FAL/FEL A&B) is required — Texas mandates individual licensing separate from the company's business license.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple moving pieces across field, design, and customer touchpoints.
- Computer proficiency and comfort working with project/budget tracking tools.
- Ability to read and work from CAD/drawing files.
