Fire Alarm Installer

Responsibilities

• Runs fire alarm wire to NFPA standards.
• Lifting, performing repetitive motions, using hand, power tools, and working in all types of weather are demands of this position.
• Responsible for the connection of fire alarm panels, power supplies, wire concealment.
• Completes all wiring, connections, and equipment installations ensuring that systems are complete and operational according to contract requirements including installation of all fire alarm devices.
• Troubleshoots fire alarm system installations to ensure that they are functioning properly and that they meet local, county, state, and/or federal codes and any licensing and/or insurance requirements.
• Completes miscellaneous tasks as assigned by manager.
• Able to do Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and daily reports.

Requirements

• Must have a Texas Fire Alarm License (FAL).
• Able to install and service many different fire alarm manufacturers.
• High School Diploma or commensurate experience.
• Two years’ experience in the installation of fire alarm systems preferred.
• PC proficient.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Able to pass drug and background screens.
