Responsibilities
- Runs fire alarm wire to NFPA standards.
- Lifting, performing repetitive motions, using hand, power tools, and working in all types of weather are demands of this position.
- Responsible for the connection of fire alarm panels, power supplies, wire concealment.
- Completes all wiring, connections, and equipment installations ensuring that systems are complete and operational according to contract requirements including installation of all fire alarm devices.
- Troubleshoots fire alarm system installations to ensure that they are functioning properly and that they meet local, county, state, and/or federal codes and any licensing and/or insurance requirements.
- Completes miscellaneous tasks as assigned by manager.
- Able to do Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and daily reports.
- Must have a Texas Fire Alarm License (FAL).
- Able to install and service many different fire alarm manufacturers.
- High School Diploma or commensurate experience.
- Two years’ experience in the installation of fire alarm systems preferred.
- PC proficient.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Able to pass drug and background screens.
