Responsibilities

• Assists the responsible person in performing the required duties for completion of install related tasks for electronic product lines and standard electronic systems.
• Helps with installation of electronic systems, including start up through final testing.
• Follows verbal and written instruction, reads and understands complex construction blueprints, diagrams, and specifications used in installation activities.
• Carries/moves equipment and tools weighing up to 40 pounds.
• Performs work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 40 feet or more.
• Maintains a clean and safe work area.
• Picks up and properly disposes of all trash associated with SimplexGrinnell work.
• Wears appropriate safety equipment as required, including but not limited to hard hats and work boots.
• May be required to work alternate shifts or weekends to meet customer installation requirements.
• Performs other duties as requested.
• Submits required paperwork daily.

Requirements

• 1 year of Fire Alarm and/or Security System experience.
• FAL license preferred - must be able to obtain it within 6 months.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, read and understand complex construction blueprints, diagrams, and specifications used in installation activities.
• Construction experience required.
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Successful completion of drug screen and background check.

Pay

Hiring hourly range: $19-25 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data).
