What you would do in this role
- Perform installation, configuration, testing, and troubleshooting on fire alarm systems
- Install conduit, wire, and devices using engineered documents, drawings, and manuals in adherence to SecurAlarm standards
- Obtain NICET II and FAST certification within 2 years of employment
- Support after-hour client needs through the on-call rotation and adhere to the On Call Policy
- Support emergency service calls and overflow as required
- Provide training and support to both internal and external clients on the operation of fire alarm systems and components
- Stay current on all assigned training, certifications, licensing, background checks, and client safety requirements
- Develop meaningful relationships with clients and team members

Job requirements
- Authorization to work in the US
- Must possess a valid driver's license, can drive a company vehicle, and be insurable under a fleet policy
- Must be able to pass a background screening and drug test (including marijuana) as our Security License with the State of Michigan requires thorough background checks and places certain restrictions on hiring.
- Must be able to see, hear, speak, and write clearly to communicate with team members and/or other clients.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
- Manual dexterity is required for frequently reaching, climbing, and lifting small to large objects, and operating construction equipment.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule to meet client needs.
- Basic technical knowledge of networks, IT infrastructure, electrical theory, software interfaces, and the ability to understand blueprints
- Ideal but not required: Knowledge of construction life cycles; fire and building codes such as NFPA 72 and Michigan building code; general knowledge of IT infrastructure; knowledge of fire alarms systems and devices
