About the role

We are seeking a Fire Alarm Install Technician to support new and ongoing projects. This role involves the installation, programming, and commissioning of fire alarm systems, primarily working with Siemens and Notifier technologies. The position is due to growth and an expanding project backlog.

Responsibilities

  • Review system layouts and coordinate with engineering, project management, and sales departments.
  • Produce field surveys and daily project logs of activity.
  • Program, commission, and ensure final acceptance of complex fire alarm systems by customers and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs).
  • Produce detailed commissioning and inspection reports in accordance with NFPA standards.
  • Deliver projects on schedule and within cost budgets.
  • Manage project inventory and vehicle inventory.
  • Provide support, guidance, and expertise to other technicians.
  • Manage job scheduling and progress efficiently, with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in issue resolution.
  • Adhere to OSHA safety standards.
  • Travel occasionally overnight as needed.

Requirements

  • Proven background in fire alarm systems, with experience in Siemens or Notifier (Honeywell) systems being ideal.
  • Ability to read blueprints and execute installations independently.
  • Knowledge of fire industry standards and installation practices, including wiring requirements and Fire Marshall codes.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • A full background check will be conducted.

Preferred Qualifications

  • NICET certification is preferred but not required.
  • Programming background is a plus.
