Fire Alarm Inspector

Duties
- Ensure all inspections are completed on time and accurately.
- Test all building Fire alarm control panels, devices, and functions of the fire alarm system.
- Enter test results into the Palm handheld device.
- Download information and generate a completed Fire Alarm Inspection Report.
- Participate in monthly team meetings.
- Perform other duties assigned by management.
Qualifications
- College degree preferred, high school diploma or equivalent with acceptable experience.
- Study and learn NFPA standards for inspection and testing of fire protection systems.
- Stay current with code requirements and industry changes, obtain NICET certifications.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, customer service oriented.
- Team environment, fire alarm experience preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in test equipment, networking PC skills, use of Microsoft Office, Palm unit operating systems.
- Reliable transportation, punctuality critical.
Physical Requirements
- Industrial, commercial, and residential building environment with moderate to high noise levels.
- Moderate to high physical demands including standing, walking, climbing stairs and ladders, lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Consistent use of phone and computer throughout the day.
Pay and Benefits
- Pay Rate: $25-$35 hourly based on experience.
