Fire Alarm Designer

Position Overview

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys design work, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is ready to contribute to high-quality fire alarm system layouts and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop new fire alarm system designs and layout drawings
• Update and revise existing drawings based on redlines or project changes
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and field technicians
• Conduct occasional site visits for measurements, verification, or design support
• Ensure all designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements
• Maintain accurate documentation and organized project files

Requirements

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and FireCAD
• Experience in fire alarm system design
• Familiarity with Notifier systems preferred (training available for strong designers)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret construction documents
• Able to work independently and manage multiple projects
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
