Fire Alarm Designer
About the role
We are seeking a Fire Alarm Designer to join our dynamic team. This position offers a chance to contribute to project design from inception to completion, manage teams, and ensure compliance with codes and standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversee project design progression from inception to completion, including design, permits, as-builts, and operations and maintenance manuals.
- Develop a comprehensive design plan to meet schedules and budgets.
- Participate in team and on-site progress meetings.
- Understand and follow all published codes, standards, and unique project specifications.
- Ensure adherence to AHJ requirements and procedures.
- Multi-task and prioritize assignments with strong adherence to deadlines.
Requirements
- 5-7 years of experience in the design of special hazard suppression and pre-engineered systems.
- Previous experience working in AutoCAD or Revit.
- Knowledge of low voltage wiring and experience with special hazard fire suppression systems.
- A commitment to exceptional customer service, maintaining industry knowledge, and task execution with great detail.
- NICET Certification preferred.
