Responsibilities
- Know Your Customer (KYC) Vetting: Conduct initial compliance evaluations on newly registered merchant accounts, verifying legal documentation and business registrations against compliance checklists.
- Transaction Telemetry Auditing: Track automated compliance alert systems, identifying transaction patterns that deviate from risk standards and compiling risk investigative notes.
- Regulatory Framework Mapping: Assist in assembling tracking datasets and internal documentation arrays to satisfy critical periodic state audit procedures.
- Compliance Documentation Maintenance: Update internal compliance manuals and procedural guides to reflect current changes in federal financial regulations.
- Cross-Functional Reporting: Communicate high-risk findings and identified transaction patterns to product and engineering teams to support system improvement and risk mitigation.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Finance, Legal Studies, Business Administration, or a related quantitative or regulatory field.
- Experience Level: 0 to 2 years of experience. Robust legal internships, financial audit capstone work, or database pattern analysis projects are highly valued.
- Analytical Precision: An obsessive eye for detail and data tracking inconsistencies, combined with strong line-editing capabilities.
- Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated capability in using data analysis software or spreadsheet tools (Excel, Google Sheets) to manage reporting.
- Communication Skills: Ability to clearly document and articulate complex risk findings to stakeholders with varying technical backgrounds.
- Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple regulatory compliance audits simultaneously within tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
Basic understanding of standard consumer finance compliance guidelines (such as AML, BSA, or financial privacy rules). Prior experience tracking documentation cases across unified cloud ticketing platforms.
