About the role

We're seeking a Finnish language specialist to contribute to the development of advanced AI systems. Your expertise will be crucial in shaping the next generation of AI, ensuring it accurately reflects and understands the complexities of the Finnish language.

Responsibilities

• Challenge advanced language models on various aspects of the Finnish language, including grammar, syntax, morphology, spelling, phonology, and pragmatics.
• Document every failure mode encountered during interactions with the model.
• Converse with the model on language scenarios, verifying factual accuracy and logical soundness.
• Capture reproducible error traces and suggest improvements to prompt engineering and evaluation metrics.

Requirements

• A master’s or PhD in Finnish language, linguistics, or a closely related field.
• Peer-reviewed publications, teaching experience, or hands-on linguistic analysis projects.
• Clear, metacognitive communication skills.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Finnish and English.
• Experience with large-scale language models and natural language processing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
