Finishing Operator

What you'll do

• Operate a forklift/pallet jack to move materials in the warehouse
• Work overtime as needed
• Keep accurate count of work in progress
• Flexible work schedule. e.g. mandatory shifts can change from 8hrs-10hrs
• Lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 50+ lbs
• Involves sitting, walking or standing for periods of time as well as climbing, balancing, and stooping

Requirements

• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to understand measurements and fractions
• Ability to recognize and visually differentiate colors
• Detail-oriented and organized with an ability to prioritize work and minimize production downtime
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Mechanically inclined, good with hands
• Ability to learn quickly and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Team Player
• Ability to lift, move, load and unload rolls of paper and board substrates into the machines
• Keep work areas neat, clean and keep materials and tools organized
• Ability to work independently and without supervision
• Ability to work over-time, weekends, and various shifts
• Ability to work with constant exposure to printing inks/chemicals and constant or intermittent sounds
