Compensation

  • $18.00–$21.00 per hour (based on skill level, specific abilities, and years of industry-specific experience)
  • $1,000 sign‑on bonus

Responsibilities

  • Continuously checks for print and seam quality
  • Removes defective material and splices the roll web back together per the specification
  • Uses a ruler, safety knife, and hole punch during splicing procedures (tools are used at other times as necessary)
  • Handles rolls and palletizes them accordingly to avoid damage
  • Understands basic printing and seam‑related defects
  • Records and enters data on designated paperwork and in the company operation system (Radius)
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience or in‑depth knowledge of lithographic, flexographic, or digital printing preferred

  • Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Outlook) and ability to learn company‑specific software
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide to figure label counts and conversions; perform these operations using units of American money, weight measurement, volume, and distance

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent standing, walking, and use of hands to feel, touch, and reach
  • Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
  • Regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds
  • Continuous eye concentration
  • Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
