Finished Goods Warehouse Operator

Key Responsibilities

• Unload material and product from incoming vehicles and distribute to assigned locations
• Ensure inventory is accurately tracked and managed
• Auxiliary tasks such as assisting with the unloading of broke rolls/bale trailers, identifying damages, reporting shortages or quality deficiencies, regularly inspecting machinery for repairs, offloading raw materials, communicating with converting lines, resetting Laser Guided Vehicles (LGVs), aligning with Warehouse leadership on issues, and maintaining a clean working environment
• Move and work efficiently in different areas of the Warehouse as needed
• Communicate with converting lines and warehouse
• Reset Laser Guided Vehicles (LGVs)
• Align with Warehouse leadership on issues and discrepancies
• Keep up with daily load production volume
• Hold self and others to high levels of safety standards, ensuring workplace safety policies are upheld and safety rules are followed (lockout/tagout procedures, confined spaces, appropriate PPE)
• Participate as needed in safety incidents and help investigate root cause
• Maintain a clean working environment by complying with procedures and housekeeping responsibilities including daily lift blowdowns

Requirements

• A High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Knowledge of Laser Guided Vehicles (LGVs) (preferred)
• Compliance with all manufacturing safety procedures including personal protective equipment (required)
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment including temperature extremes, loud noise, avoiding slipping, tripping, and falling hazards
• Physical capability to perform manual labor that includes bending, walking, sitting, and climbing in and around machinery and equipment for the entire 12-hour shift
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs frequently, between 40 and 50 lbs occasionally, and over 50 lbs minimally. When lifting 50 lbs and above, Operator will use team lifting and overhead crane assistance
• Work environment includes exposure to compressed air, steam, lubrication oil, dust, and hydraulic fluid
• Able to work a 12-hour rotating shift including nights, weekends, and Holidays
• Able to work overtime as needed

Sofidel America, a global leader in tissue paper manufacturing, seeks a Finished Goods Warehouse Operator to handle paper products and materials throughout the mill safely and efficiently. This role involves moving goods using forklifts and clamp trucks, interacting with the Warehouse team, and coordinating deliveries to customers. The position requires adherence to safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Schedule

A 12-hour rotating shift including nights, weekends, and Holidays, with 4 days off. An example of the rotating shift schedule is provided.
