About the role
This position ensures the quality and accuracy of our products through detailed processes including wash, polish, deburr, and inspection of parts.
Responsibilities
- Inspect parts visually and under magnification as required.
- Clean parts per specified equipment callout.
- Debur, polish, finish parts through various processes such as scraping, grinding, sanding, buffing, wire brushing, or using buffing cloths.
- Maintain lot traceability.
- Interface with area supervision and shop floor planning to ensure priorities and on-time delivery to secondary and customers.
- Adhere to health and safety laws and policies established by the company.
- Keep an organized and clean workspace.
- Perform other duties as assigned, such as packaging, 5S projects, and inspection.
Qualifications
- Equivalent to high school education and a minimum of 2 years related experience finishing precision mechanical components.
- Ability to comprehend written or verbal instructions.
- Ability to sit for long periods of time.
- Ability to visually identify and distinguish proper part finish and potential burrs.
- Ability to use magnification as required and use of both hand and powered deburring/polishing tools.
- Ability to perform repeat hand deburr and inspection tasks.
