About the role

We are currently seeking experienced Finish Carpenters to join our growing installation team. This role focuses on the installation of custom millwork in high-end residential environments. Ideal candidates are skilled craftsmen who understand fine tolerances, can problem-solve in the field, and take pride in producing clean, precise, and professional results.

Responsibilities

  • Install high-end custom millwork including cabinetry, door jambs, doors, hardware, trim, baseboards, windows, moldings, paneling, stair components, tongue-and-groove walls and ceilings, mock-ups, and other custom carpentry projects to the highest standards.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate and precise installation.
  • Inspect materials and completed work to ensure quality, fit, and finish meet project requirements.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Superintendents, and team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all job sites.
  • Take initiative, anticipate next steps, and problem-solve independently to keep projects moving efficiently.
  • Communicate professionally with clients and team members, representing Fineline’s commitment to craftsmanship and service.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience installing high-end millwork in luxury residential environments.
  • Strong knowledge of finish carpentry techniques, including the use of professional tools and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Own a full set of professional tools necessary for millwork installation (saws, drills, levels, measuring tapes, hand tools, lasers, etc.).
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record to travel to job sites located in Utah.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work with precision.
  • Strong work ethic, self-starter mentality, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to frequently lift and carry heavy materials (up to 50 lbs).
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional with excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to on-site safety protocols, including completing weekly safety training.

Qualifications

Non-Negotiable:

  • Proven experience in high-end cabinet and/or millwork installation
  • Ownership of required hand and power tools for your skill level
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Strong attention to detail and finish quality
  • Professional behavior on client jobsites
  • Willingness to follow company standards and processes

Preferred:

  • Experience working in high-end luxury homes and estates.
  • Familiarity with specialized custom installations.
  • Knowledge of current trends, materials, and techniques in luxury millwork.
  • Ability to install complex architectural features with precision and care.
